4.     Reduces absorption of carbohydrates, amino acids, and thiamin
5.     Reduces absorption and use of folate, vitamin B-6, and vitamin B-12
6.     Reduces vitamin A and calcium use
7.     Reduces vitamin D production by the liver
8.     Reduces absorption and increases excretion of potassium, zinc, and magnesium
