Aging Under the Microscope: A
Biological Quest
http://www.niapublications.org/pubs/microscope/index.asp

overview of theories of aging and normal age changes. It includes brief descriptions
of current and future research at the molecular, cellular, and organism levels,
including use of non-human organisms (e.g., yeast, fruit flies, nematode worms).
Illustrations
of Normal and Pathological Conditions
http://www-medlib.med.utah.edu/WebPath/webpath.html
This site has
an extensive collection of photographs of human pathologies from the gross to
the electron microscopic levels. Each illustration has a brief useful legend.
The site also has tutorials and other pedagogical aids for many diseases

Use the extensive index to find many "treasures". The contents of the
site can be purchased on a CD-ROM and installed on institutional sites with a
site license. Then selected illustrations can be incorporated conveniently into
lectures, student activities, and assignments.
