      Aging Under the Microscope: A Biological Quest 
        This site presents an overview of theories of aging and normal age changes. It includes brief descriptions of current and future research at the molecular, cellular, and organism levels, including use of non-human organisms (e.g., yeast, fruit flies, nematode worms).

        Illustrations of Normal and Pathological Conditions
            This site has an extensive collection of photographs of human pathologies from the gross to the electron microscopic levels. Each illustration has a brief useful legend. The site also has tutorials and other pedagogical aids for many diseases including Alzheimer's disease, heart disease, cancers, and diabetes mellitus. Use the extensive index to find many "treasures". The contents of the site can be purchased on a CD-ROM and installed on institutional sites with a site license. Then selected illustrations can be incorporated conveniently into lectures, student activities, and assignments.

        Medical Images Library   ISBN Number: 0-7365-7109-4 New in 2004 
            This site offers an extensive and relatively expensive DVD-ROM for sale. The DVD-ROM has more than 12,000 photos and other medical images showing many diseases, treatments, and healthcare practices. It has user-friendly interactivity that allows one to incorporate the images into presentations or to print them.

        The Pathology Atlas—on CD-ROM  ISBN Number: 1-4213-0115-6  New in 2004
            This site offers a less extensive and less expensive CD-ROM for sale. It has 600 pathology slides and user-friendly interactivity that allows one to incorporate the images into presentations or to print them.
